County XC Championships

Sad to say that the Warwickshire County Cross Country Championships, which were due to be held in January 2021, have been cancelled.

This will not come as a surprise given the current Covid situation but it is the right thing to do. The situation couldn’t be much worse but it is bound to get better at some point in the future. Let’s all look forward to then.

Please try to submit ahead of the last day of the month as we had a few teething issues this time round on deadline day! I’m hoping to work on collated Series results over the next few weeks to show aggregated scores for both athletes and teams over the course of the 3 events so far.

Happy Running!

How times have changed !!

See attached letter from AW from 1961. Back then female runners generally didnt start cross country until the U20 age group. Some organisations had started to hold races for 15 and 16 year old girls but that caused some controversy hence the attached letter. It may seem strange but its not that long ago. What would they have thought back then of U11 or even primary school cross country leagues!!
